The protection you've waited decades for.
For decades, fruit growers and winegrowers have faced hailstorms that destroy entire yields in just a few minutes. Our expert team developed and manufactured the first device of this kind in Serbia back in 2015.
The PGT-A80 is carefully designed for preventive action — to effectively suppress the formation of hail and prevent damage to crops in fruit growing, viticulture and vegetable growing.
A shock wave,
straight into the cloud.
The effect is based on generating an ionizing acoustic shock wave. Traveling toward the upper layers of the atmosphere, the wave causes turbulence that disrupts the joining of droplets and the formation of ice nuclei — so hail does not form at all. The action is preventive.
The waves are produced by combusting a mixture of acetylene and air in a special chamber, emitted every 4–7 seconds, and act on the front of the incoming cumulonimbus.

One circle.
Eighty hectares.
The device protects an area 1 km in diameter — a circle with a 500 m radius, equal to up to 80 hectares. The wave travels at the speed of sound (≈ 330 m/s); full effect is achieved by activating 20–30 minutes before the storm.
From the forecast to clear skies.
Radar flags the hail cloud over the location, and the device activates 20–30 minutes earlier — preventively stopping hail from forming in the cloud.

Field footage and media features about the PGT-A80 hail cannon.
Protection that pays off in the first season.
- Per hectare — around €10 per hectare on an annual basis.
- Far lower cost than any other method of hail protection.
- Certified components of premium quality and long service life.
- 24-month warranty · service and support in Serbian.
Engineering in every detail.
Mobile unit
Delivered in a protective container; transported by truck, trailer or tractor. The location can be changed as needed.
Remote monitoring
Android/iOS app, severe-weather notifications, radar imagery and live status. GSM/GPRS, SMS and LTE modules.
Non-polluting
Acetylene burns down to CO₂ and water vapor — no smoke or soot. An environmentally friendly solution.
Controlled noise
Shock wave directed upward; ≈ 90 dB at 50 m. Acceptable for both rural and urban environments.
Fast assembly
On-site setup in one working day at most. Removable wheels and frame.
Networking
Several neighboring units coordinate in sequence — greater coverage and lower gas consumption.
Solar power
The cannon has built-in solar panels and its own power supply, so it runs fully off-grid with no mains connection. The grid stays available as an alternative.
